SS Car Readings and Logs

OpenHaldex SS v1.1

See what your car is telling OpenHaldex

CAN is the data network the car uses to share information. The SS dashboard turns available messages into readings you can recognize, such as speed, throttle and engine RPM.

Check a reading here before using it in a map or automatic rule. Different cars provide different readings, so a setup from someone else may need a few changes.

Check a reading, then save a log

  1. Keep the car parked. Pick a reading and check that it makes sense for the car at that moment.
  2. Check the units. Make sure you know whether a value is speed, RPM, a percentage or something else before building a rule around it.
  3. Save a short session. Download its log so you can look at what happened later.
  4. Name the file. Include your car and the date so it is easy to find again.

Review the dashboard and saved data while safely parked. Do not watch or use the dashboard while driving.

Fault checks and a few extra details

The dashboard can identify the connected Haldex unit and show supported fault codes and other readings. It also offers calibration where supported. Use the options provided for your unit.

Gen 1 keeps its original K-line wire connected through the harness, but the T-2CAN board does not include the hardware for K-line diagnostics. See the official feature guide for supported tools.

Before updating SS, stop diagnostics, replay and session logging and follow the update instructions. Need to check setup? Go to first startup or the dashboard guide.
