Your OpenHaldex starting point

Build a small controller, plug it into your car, then open its dashboard on your phone. OpenHaldex SS lets you choose when the rear wheels help and how strongly they are asked to engage.

You do not need to write code. Start with the parts list and wiring guide, then try the simple controls before exploring maps and automatic rules.

Pick your next step

1. Build and install: get the board and plugs, connect the wires, then install SS over USB.
2. Connect your phone: join the board Wi-Fi and check the first settings.
3. Try maps and profiles: choose how the rear wheels help as speed, throttle or other readings change.
4. Check car readings and logs: see what the controller receives and save a session to look at later.

The official OpenHaldex site has the detailed wiring guide, installer and current releases. SS v1.1 adds a backup/restore option for your settings and optional steering-angle reduction; see the release notes for the details. Change settings and review the dashboard only while safely parked.

SS is proprietary software. Official compiled firmware is free for personal, non-commercial experimental or off-road use under the SS software terms. The SignalScope framework is separately MIT-licensed.
