SS Maps and Profiles

OpenHaldex SS v1.1

Choose how the rear wheels help

A map is a table of rear-wheel engagement requests. It uses two car readings, such as speed and throttle, to choose the request as those readings change. SS moves smoothly between the table values.

A profile is a saved behavior setup. Rules let SS choose a profile automatically: when your chosen conditions match, use that behavior. You can also select a profile yourself.

Start with a supplied map after first startup. The lock value tells the controller what to request; it does not measure a front/rear power split.

Try your first changes

  1. Save a copy. Export your map and make a configuration backup before editing a working setup.
  2. Check the readings. Use the live car view to make sure your chosen speed, throttle or other reading works on your car.
  3. Change a little at a time. Try one part of the table or one rule, and note what you changed.
  4. Review before changing more. Look at saved session data while parked so you can judge the result.

SS lets you edit the table, save and load maps, and import or export them. Automatic rules have an order, so check which one should win when more than one matches. Find the full options in the official feature guide.

One more option in v1.1

Optional steering-angle reduction can reduce the requested engagement based on steering angle. Check the release notes and the dashboard settings before trying it.

Do all map editing and log review while safely parked. Return to the dashboard guide whenever you need a refresher.
